Godavri, 14 kilometer
to the south of the city centre, is a
small village below Phulchowki where the
Royal Botanical Gardens, Department of
Medicinal Plants and the famed St. Xavier's
School are located. Small clusters of
country houses dot the hills in the midst
of terraced farms. Inspired by the presence
of the Royal Botanical Garden, some residents
of Godavari have taken to floriculture.
